Last Books for 2009

I want to use this post to discuss our last two books for 2009 so we can close out the year and begin with some new books. Feel free to add your two cents and suggestions for next month's book pick. Thanks All!

Cheating With My Mistress by S. Dodson
Let me start off by saying that not just anyone can write a book. This book made me very frustrated as a writer because there were so many typos and incorrect word usage. In one sentence, she used the word "from" when it should have been "for", and "trial" instead of "trail". The author really got lazy at the end of the story because every other page had a mistake on it. This made it hard for me to focus on the storyline, which I thought was good and had potential to actually be a good book. I also felt some of the occurrences were predictable and stereotypical. She could have exorcised her imagination a little further than she did. Also, I felt the moral of the story wasn't relevant to the plot/storyline. (moral of the story: life is full of obstacles; just work hard and you will get through them) WTF? It was too generalized. What type of obstacles such as cheating? How did she work hard to get through them, by beating her husband with a bat? Overall, I thought the book was thrown together. This author may need to re-take some grammar or writing classes. As a PH.D graduate student, she should know better. Im not perfect, so I apologize if it sounds as if I'm being negative or picky! Lol Thoughts?
