Week 2 of Lent: Love and Forgiveness

It seems as if the days are passing by quickly, and I havent had the urge to watch tv (with the exception of today because I wanted to watch Bad Girls Club).

This week I wanted to focus on love and forgiveness. Tonight, I read one of my favorite, well-known verses today- Luke 6:37
"Judge not, and ye shall not be judged; condemned not, and ye shall not be condemned; forgive, and ye shall be forgiven".
Of course, I, myself am not perfect, so I am gulity of being judgemental at times (considering the circumstance). However, true love speaks in what we say and think about people. When we feel so passionate about how something/someone should be/act/do it can easily be interpreted as judgement instead of constructive criticism when we dont agree. It is important for us to speak well of people, for those to speak well of us. As for forgiveness, it can be a slow process at times, but the end results are rewarding for all parties.

This week, I will reflect on the judgements and harsh words I speak about/to others and replace it with something positive and encouraging. Not only will it benefit me, but uplift them as well. I will focus on forgiving and praying for those who have caused me grief or pain so I dont hinder myself from future blessings to come. I'll keep you updated on how it goes...

Enjoy your week!
